Heritage. Varangian ballad
The eleventh studio release of the "Voice of Heritage" project and the fourth part of the large-scale "Heritage" series, which reveals the epic canvas of our history. This is a monumental journey through time, where the harsh era of the Varangian campaigns meets the mysticism of the Ukrainian steppe and echoes of ancient Hellas. Concept and Sound The musical palette of the album is an uncompromising experiment on the border of genres. The basis is powerful Viking Metal and Melodic Death Metal, which enter into synergy with dynamic Drum and Bass rhythms (from atmospheric Liquid to aggressive Neurofunk). Each track is permeated with classical symphonic motifs: majestic brass sections, dramatic cellos and epic choral parts that emphasize the scale of historical events. Literary basis The album is built exclusively on classical Ukrainian poetry. The texts of Oleksandr Oles, Yevhen Malanyuk, Oleg Olzhych, Taras Shevchenko and other masters of the word become guides through the ages. From the legendary "Zaspivu" about forgotten ancient times to the battle cry of Svyatoslav the Brave "I'm coming for you!" — each composition is a separate section of our genetic memory.
